One, two, three… GRƩƩK!

Greek is war. Greek is art. Greek is passion and hedonism. Greek is drama, and now Sankalp. In its 11th year of providing all theatrically inclined MICAN’s a stage, a prop, and a charter to exist so as to perform… Sankalp has brought back the classics and taken on the oldest story tellers to weave this new chapter in the epic that it is to all of us. Aided by the nine muses, bringing together music, poetry, songs, dancing, drama and culture, and blessed (yes, that’s what we believe) by the manic  eccentricity, free-willed ecstasy and divine comedy of Dionysus himself, we bring to you Greek traditions, Sankalp style with- ‘It’s All Greek to Me’.

While we have traditionally held the Sankalp festival as a theatre production with our central play held on three days, this year it is on a far grander scale with a theatre festival and related events in the morning followed by the labour of our greatest love (theatre)… our annual production, for three consecutive nights, held at Natarani.

Our days will be filled with one act plays, monologues, multi-act plays, street plays, radio plays, short films, evenings with our production and the late night/ early morning with some pretty cool informal events. This year we also invite theatre groups and drama clubs from all over India to participate in our festival and help us in making it the biggest confluence of theatrical talent and social ideas and thoughts. Registrations for all contests are now open at sankalp-mica.net. With our incredibly full roster of events there isn’t an aspect of theatre or acting that we haven’t got covered and if you have a latent actor, director, producer or even spot-boy in you… there’s no place you’d rather be than MICA this year on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of December.

Trust us on that.
